My name is Karla "Silent Eyez" and I was born on Halloween in 1977. Story goes, I wasn't expected to "show up" on this day. I was due to come a few days later but I had other plans. My mother was having contractions and went to the hospital. She was seen by the doctor and was told that she may go home, since I wasn't ready to make my appearance.

So, my mother went off to a department store to get herself a new nightgown and some baby clothes. She wanted to have something new for her stay in the hospital. As she was shopping, she felt those contractions again. And she felt them again and again. Next thing you know, clean up on aisle 3!

A little was born. An ambulance was called in and they took care of momma & baby, there at the scene. The department store owner/manager even offered my mother a lifetime shopping for us but she refused the offer! This department store no longer exists now. It would have been fun if it were still around and I were to show up and say, "I'm here for my free stuff".
